The American Creativity Academy (ACA) originated in 1997 through the efforts of a group of educational pioneers who aimed to create a school in Kuwait that combined the structure of an American curriculum with the cultural expectations and traditions valued in the region. The institution maintains full accreditation from the Council of International Schools (CIS) along with the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, reflecting adherence to international quality standards. Authorization to deliver the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program was granted in 2008, strengthening the academy’s academic pathways. Over the years, ACA has grown into a multi-campus educational organization, operating two distinct sites located only minutes apart within the suburb of Hawalli, forming a cohesive but physically diverse learning community.The student body consists entirely of English Language Learners, with the majority of learners born in Kuwait. Most students come from Arabic-speaking backgrounds and acquire English and Arabic proficiency simultaneously, developing balanced linguistic abilities that support both academic and cultural competence. Learners demonstrate a strong commitment to academic achievement, consistently striving for excellence across disciplines. ACA functions as a college-preparatory institution, sending all graduates to universities around the world. Instruction follows an American standards-based model from kindergarten through grade 12, supplemented by an Enrichment Program for grades 2 to 8 and an Honors Program for grades 9 and 10. Students entering grade 11 may pursue the International Baccalaureate Diploma or continue within the American curriculum, depending on individual goals and academic readiness.
The school community includes more than 3,500 students and approximately 350 staff members. Learners regularly demonstrate outstanding performance in competitive sports, Ministry of Education contests, interscholastic events, community-centered activities, and academic domains. The academic year extends from September to June, comprising a minimum of 172 instructional days arranged into two semesters. Reports are issued four times per year, and classes currently operate from Sunday through Thursday.
ACA’s mission emphasizes the delivery of a standards-driven American curriculum in an environment guided by Islamic principles. The institution aims to cultivate learners who are fully prepared for university-level study while also developing personal integrity and social responsibility.

The Boys’ Campus occupies a large enclosed complex serving kindergarten through grade 12. Each division—kindergarten, elementary, middle, and high school—functions in its own building with facilities suited to that age group. Classrooms are fitted with smartboards and ample learning resources. A regulation-sized artificial-turf soccer field, multiple courtyard spaces, and a full-sized basketball court offer abundant opportunities for physical activity. Two spacious libraries support research and independent reading, while science laboratories, art studios, and computer labs enhance hands-on learning across subjects.
The Girls’ Campus, originally housing the entire academy before expansion, now accommodates more than 1,250 students from grades 1 through 12. The building features designated floors for different age groups, creating an organized and energetic learning environment. Inside, students access a secure reception area, an auditorium for school events, a cafeteria, two libraries, and a well-equipped nurses’ suite. Outdoor facilities include shaded play areas, a central courtyard for assemblies, a soccer and basketball court, picnic seating, and equipment for recreational play. A newly developed Garden Oasis provides a serene space for student relaxation or outdoor instruction.
Both elementary and secondary levels feature separate physical education facilities, including a large swimming pool used for structured classes and staff recreation. Each division contains dedicated science labs, technology rooms, and art spaces. The Girls’ Campus also incorporates three prayer areas, supporting the school’s dedication to Islamic values while promoting a balanced academic and spiritual experience for all learners.
