Critical Care / Intensivist Specialist
Job Summary:
- Provide diagnosis, treatment, and support for critically ill and injured patients, especially trauma victims and patients with multiple organ dysfunction.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Doctor of Medicine (MD).
- Critical Care Board certification.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in governmental or teaching healthcare facilities.
- Preferable: candidates with DataFlow or Prometric exam clearance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide patient support for:
- Hemodynamic instability (hypertension/hypotension)
- Airway or respiratory compromise (including ventilator support)
- Acute renal failure
- Potentially lethal cardiac dysrhythmias
- Cumulative effects of multiple organ system failure
- Conduct patient rounds and supervise treatment of inpatients.
- Screen and examine outpatients as needed.
- Organize, monitor, and maintain clinical services within the department to achieve optimal patient care and resource utilization.
- Assume direct responsibility for patients under medical attendance in the assigned unit.
