Khalifa Port, strategically located between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, was inaugurated on 12.12.12 by the Late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
The port’s deep-water access and extensive international network make it a critical crossroads connecting Europe and the West with the Middle East, Asia, and Africa, strengthening global trade routes.

Khalifa Port Terminals
Abu Dhabi Terminals
The region’s first semi-automated terminal, recognized as one of the most technologically advanced maritime facilities worldwide. Serving as MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company’s hub, it continues to reinforce its position as one of the Middle East’s leading container terminals.
CSP Abu Dhabi Terminal
Established through a 35-year concession agreement between AD Ports Group and COSCO SHIPPING Ports Limited, this terminal serves as a strategic hub along China’s Belt and Road Initiative while opening business opportunities between KEZAD and international markets.
Autoterminal Khalifa Port
Formed in partnership with Autoterminal Barcelona, this RoRo hub is positioned to become the Middle East’s leading automotive distribution center. Equipped with a dedicated Technical Centre, it handles significant volumes of vehicles with precision and efficiency.
CMA CGM Terminal
Through a 35-year concession agreement between AD Ports Group and the France-based CMA CGM Group, a state-of-the-art container terminal is being developed in Khalifa Port. The facility will serve as CMA CGM’s regional hub, positioning Khalifa Port as a strategic location for three of the world’s top four shipping companies. The terminal is expected to commence operations in 2024.
Vision & Expansion
Business growth and increasing customer demand have led to an ambitious expansion program designed to enhance handling volumes and operational capabilities. Direct deep-water access, expanded yard and warehousing facilities, and the availability of land plots provide new opportunities for businesses.
Major expansion projects such as South Quay and Khalifa Port Logistics (KPL) signify a new era for Khalifa Port, enabling the accommodation of vessels of all sizes and types. Agreements with international partners, including CMA CGM, will further expand container handling capacity on an exponential scale.
