Light Duty Driver

Purpose of the Role

Deliver products and merchandise from the warehouse to retail stores in accordance with company procedures, delivery schedules, and customer requirements. Ensure safe transportation, accurate documentation, timely deliveries, and high levels of customer satisfaction while maintaining compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.

Functional Roles and Responsibilities

• Receive daily delivery schedules and transportation instructions from the Delivery Supervisor and ensure deliveries are completed at the designated stores on the specified dates and times.
• Transport products, merchandise, and inventory safely from the warehouse to retail outlets while maintaining product quality and preventing damage during loading, transportation, and unloading activities.
• Handle store concerns, complaints, and delivery-related issues professionally and courteously. Escalate unresolved matters, damaged goods reports, or customer concerns to the Delivery Supervisor or Customer Service team for appropriate action and resolution.
• Organize, maintain, and submit all store acknowledgements, proof of delivery (POD) documents, receipts, and delivery records accurately and within the required timelines.
• Conduct routine inspections of the assigned delivery vehicle to ensure roadworthiness, cleanliness, and compliance with safety and operational requirements.
• Follow Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures at all times to minimize the risk of accidents, injuries, product damage, and property loss.
• Promote a safe working environment by encouraging compliance with company safety standards and reminding colleagues to adhere to established HSE procedures.
• Verify cartons, packages, and shipment documentation before and during loading activities to ensure correct quantities, product quality, and delivery accuracy.

• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, returns, shortages, damages, and transportation activities in accordance with company procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

• High School Certificate or Pre-Degree qualification.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in furniture delivery, retail distribution, logistics, transportation, or a similar delivery-related role.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with store personnel and customers.
• Good understanding of delivery procedures, inventory handling, documentation processes, and transportation safety requirements.
• Valid UAE Manual Driving License (Category 3).

Purpose of the Role

Functional Roles and Responsibilities

• Maintain the assigned recovery vehicle in excellent operational condition through daily cleaning, routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and scheduled servicing in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company requirements.
• Collect vehicles from docks, ports, and Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) Centres and transport them safely to designated showrooms and delivery locations across the UAE.
• Follow transportation schedules, route plans, and delivery instructions provided by the Fleet Coordinator to ensure timely and efficient vehicle movement.
• Operate heavy-duty recovery and transport vehicles in accordance with company procedures, safety standards, and UAE transportation regulations.
• Apply approved loading, securing, and unloading procedures to ensure vehicles are transported safely and without damage to the cargo, recovery equipment, company property, or members of the public.
• Conduct detailed inspections of vehicles before loading and after unloading, identifying and documenting any scratches, dents, or visible defects on collection and delivery records.
• Obtain required customer acknowledgements and signatures on delivery documentation to ensure accurate record-keeping and proof of delivery.
• Comply fully with UAE traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company driving policies while operating heavy-duty vehicles.
• Maintain constant awareness of road conditions, traffic hazards, and surrounding vehicles to reduce risks and prevent accidents.
• Continuously update knowledge of UAE road networks, delivery locations, traffic patterns, and alternative routes to improve transportation efficiency and minimize delivery delays.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience as a Heavy Duty Driver, Recovery Driver, Vehicle Transport Driver, or in a similar transportation role.
• Valid UAE Driving Licenses for both Category 3 (Light Vehicle) and Category 4 (Heavy Vehicle).
• Strong knowledge of UAE traffic laws, road safety regulations, and vehicle transportation procedures.
