Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Heavy Vehicle Driver to join our Engineering & Maintenance team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing safe, efficient and timely transportation support for employees, documents, materials, equipment and company vehicles. The role requires a strong commitment to safety, vehicle care and compliance with company and aviation regulations.

The driver will carry out collection and delivery duties between offices, stores, workshops, hangars, service centres, government departments and other designated locations. All vehicles must be operated responsibly and in accordance with UAE traffic laws, company procedures, safety standards and airport or airside regulations where applicable.

Daily responsibilities will include conducting routine and pre-use vehicle inspections, maintaining cleanliness and reporting any defects, damage or maintenance requirements immediately. The driver will also transport company vehicles to and from service centres for servicing, repairs and other maintenance activities. Accurate trip sheets, handover records, delivery documents and other operational records must be maintained.

The position involves operating heavy vehicles, including trucks with trailers, to transport Ground Support Equipment (GSE), aircraft engines, engine stands, palletised cargo, oversized materials and other heavy operational items. The driver may also operate light and heavy forklifts for loading, unloading and positioning aircraft spares, tools, GSE and other materials.

The successful candidate may be required to operate aircraft tugs, pushback tractors and tow-bar-less pushback tractors to support aircraft movement and towing activities. These duties must always be carried out in line with applicable ICAO, GCAA, EASA and company procedures.

The role also involves supporting the Maintenance Team by moving aircraft spares, tools and Ground Support Equipment between aircraft, hangars and other operational areas. Before operating any vehicle or handling equipment, the driver must complete the required safety checks and report unsafe conditions immediately.

Qualifications & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Fluent in English with ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 4.
• 2 years of driving or logistics experience; aviation experience is an advantage.
• Valid UAE/RTA Heavy Truck Driving Licence (Category 4).
• Valid Heavy Forklift Licence (Category 8), where required.
• Valid RTA Manual Transmission and Category 3 driving licences.
• 2–4 years of relevant qualifications and experience preferred.

Key Competencies

The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong customer focus, teamwork, communication skills, personal accountability, commitment to achieving results, resilience and flexibility, with a positive “can-do” attitude.

The driver must also comply with all company Information Security Requirements (ISR), attend required awareness sessions and promptly report any information-security weaknesses or incidents to the appropriate Line Manager or Information Security team.
